The 91st exchange was held in March at the KW Granite Club in Waterloo. The winter of 2007-2008 had the highest amount of snow ever in Kitchener-Waterloo. The Saturday of the exchange saw the biggest snowfall of the season. (over 30 cm which is about a foot) A few people were not able to make it to dinner because of the snow.


The 6 sheets of KW Granite ice is ready for the curlers. Joe livermore heads down the ice.


Sitting on the left is Don Sloat. Frank Duffey is behind the hack getting ready for his shot. Ian Smith (in the shorts!) watches the opponents rock going down the ice.

Ron Shane was one of the organizers and gives the assembled a few words of encouragement.


Dave Nelsen accepts the Bombay Bicycle Club award for his excellent imitation of Foster Brooks while presiding over the Saturday dinner at the November 2008 exchange in Detroit.

At the lunch the raffle tickets are drawn for “The Good Guys” draw. Here Ian Anderson holds the box of tickets while Graham Wallbank picks out the next winning ticket.

 


At the Sunday Sinner’s Breakfast Ozzie Pickett provided background music.
