There was another great turn out this year in Detroit with 24 curlers coming over the border from Kitchener Waterloo. There were a lot of new members from Detroit and 1 from KW.
The curling match on Saturday morning was very close with KW only ahead by 1. The afternoon was a different story as the Plattsville crew beat up Don Warthman’s team. The overall lead for KW was 16.
Many thanks to Ken Romanik, Dave Cain and Brady Code for taking pictures.

Bob Glendinning shows how to use a stick! |
Ken R rests between pictures |
Is Norm Green Irish? |
The semi-annual gin rummy game continues. It would appear that Don Fanstone is laying down the game winning card against Joe Livermore. Never count Joe out!
Who said that curling was not an exhausting sport!
Sunday Morning is Sinner’s Breakfast

Frank Duffey counts the raffle tickets for Mark Schumacher as Paul Gaines walks by.

Waiting for breakfast are: Paul Sandford, Dave Hesse, Bob MacMillan, Leroy Bliven, Doug Adams and Scott Rogers.

Ron Shane, Bob Mooney and Thom Pritchard.

Breakfast is almost ready! Joe Livermore watches the eggs come to-gether. Steve Reitz, Ken Zryd and Dallas Schneider make sure the eggs are not runny.

Dallas Schneider tells a story to a somewhat attentive audience.
Back left is Cec Hofstetter. In front with backs to camera are Pat Cannon and Gordy Loud. The rest are: John Danckeart, Don Fanstone, Thom Pritchard, Doug Adams and Ron Shane.

Damien Buchowski telling another of his “real” stories.

The Sinner’s Choir is directed by Joe Bonfoey

An appropriate ending to the pictures. The Detroit team of Don Warthman, Leroy Bliven, Jim Morris and Paul Gaines were presented with crying towels after losing their afternoon game 12-1 against the Plattsville tigers. They must have only had 3 towels left at the club!
